Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer

About the Position:

We are seeking a mid-senior level Software Engineer with 5-10 years of professional experience in DevOps/Infrastructure development. Primary objective is to help us scale our backend data infrastructure securely and reliably. We are on AWS and extensively utilize Terraform to manage our Infrastructure which consists of sensor data ingestion, machine learning pipelines, and various APIs hosted as containerized microservices on Lambda with Python/FastAPI. In this role, you will be responsible for helping us maintain and scale the infrastructure while also helping to build out CI/CD pipelines and a comprehensive testing infrastructure.

With thousands of sensors in hundreds of warehouses, we ingest massive amounts of real time data every day. We need to ensure the infrastructure can keep up with our growth.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for AI-powered applications.
• Further automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines to support rapid development cycles.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, reliability, and security concerns.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment.
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and systems.
• Implement best practices for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents to ensure system uptime.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering roles with a focus on cloud environments.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience working with common AWS Services: Data Warehouses/Lakes (AWS Athena), Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, Firehose, S3, EC2,
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
