Excellent opportunity for a mid-senior level Structural Engineer to join our talented team of professionals at a leading forensic structural consulting firm based in the Chicagoland area.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects involving the evaluation, investigation, and repair of structures and structural components. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to forensic investigations, field testing, structural analysis, design of repairs, and more.
We are looking for a motivated and engaged individual who is passionate about building science and is eager to grow their career in the field of structural engineering. An ideal candidate would have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of structural analysis and computer analysis programs.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the structural engineering industry
- Licensed as a structural engineer (SE) or actively pursuing SE licensure
- Experienced in structural analysis and computer analysis software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel and perform field work as needed
Preferred candidates would also possess the following:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural engineering industry
- Knowledge of building science concepts and their application to enclosure design and performance
- Active involvement in related professional organizations
