Tusk Logistics - Engineering Intern

WHAT IS TUSK LOGISTICS

Tusk Logistics is a national network of regional parcel carriers, driving value for Shippers by reducing their dependence on legacy national parcel carriers like UPS and FedEx, and accelerating access to lower prices and faster deliveries. Tusk’s technology is the first of its kind, unlocking capacity and savings from regional carriers with one, easy to integrate connection and proactive support that enables shippers to anticipate and solve their customers’ delivery issues in near real time. 

Tusk’s co-founders Ben and Adam have deep industry experience, with long recent tenures at eCommerce shipping/logistics leaders like Shippo, ShipBob, and Google Shopping. Tusk has raised a pre-seed funding round in 2022 and is currently a team of four, based in Chicago. We are remote-friendly and spend at least two days a week working in-person as a team.

THE ROLE

As an intern on our engineering team, you'll gain invaluable experience contributing to real products for both internal and external users. We have a ton of exciting projects with the potential to have a huge impact. Projects span frontend and backend development, database design and performance, cloud infrastructure, API integrations, and more.

Requirements

• Familiarity with C#, SQL, or Azure is a plus (but not required)
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• You always assume positive intent, and are open to contributing to team discussions and giving/receiving feedback.
