S&K Building Services is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking an Accounting Generalist who is team-oriented and self-directed to join our team!
As a valued member of our Shared Services team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of the business by improving core financial processes and reporting strategic metrics. In this role, among other tasks you will be responsible for supporting the accounting team with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and closing tasks.
What You'll Do
- Provide financial, administrative, and clerical support for the company.
- Assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with daily and monthly processes.
- Assist with month-end close tasks.
- Support other accounting and finance team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Who You Are
- You have 2+ years experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk or Accountant
- You have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- You have a proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- You have working knowledge of general ledger and chart of accounts
- You have data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- You have hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
- You are proficient in QuickBooks accounting software or similar
- You are proficient in Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications
- You are customer service orientated
- You have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- You reside in the Indianapolis, IN area
NICE TO HAVE
- You have a BS degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- You have experience in field services industry or similar
What We Offer
- Competitive Base Salary of $45,000 - $55,000
