NSWC Crane plays a pivotal role as the Acquisition Engineering Agent (AEA), In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), and Fleet Support Team (FST) across a wide array of defense sectors. Their responsibilities encompass acquisition, procurement, contract administration, safety, in-service logistics, supply support, configuration management, and program management, alongside engineering disciplines ranging from design to production and repairs. NSWC offers vital support to airborne, maritime, and ground-based multi-sensor systems.
The ideal candidate will:
- Collect, review, and analyze information in order to make recommendations to the Government.
- Define the nature and extent of problems.
- Analyze relevant data, which may include annual revenues, employment, cost performance, schedule or expenditures.
- Interview managers and employees while observing their operations.
- Develop solutions to problems. In the course of preparing recommendations, understand the nature of the organization, the relationship it has with others in the Government, and its internal organization and culture.
- Prepare and solve mathematical models.
- Report findings and recommendations to the Government.
- Reports are usually submitted in writing, but oral presentations regarding findings also are common.
- Be retained to help implement the suggestions made for some projects.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a business-related field and 15 years of experience supporting ACAT I, II, or III programs as a Program Analyst.
- Expertise in Earned Value management, resource management, and risk analysis, with 10 years of experience leading teams in preparing program acquisition documentation and presentation material.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) and 10 years of relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Secret clearance Required. TS eligible.
- Prior experience working with Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects required.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting may be required.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
