Welder

 WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Essential Duties:

• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to weld using various materials and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to interpret weld symbols.
• Must be able to perform all work allocated.
• Complete talks while ensuring performance targets and quality are met.
• Rig, assemble, and weld pipe threading as needed.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment with thorough knowledge of all types of welding procedures and practices.
• Familiarity with power tools.
• Computer and organizational skills.
• Have good interpersonal and communications skills.
• Previous experience with 5S and lean manufacturing would be considered an asset.
• Goal orientated and motivated to achieve tasks within set timelines.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.  Must be able to lift and/or move items over 25lbs.
