Zirous is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer who is eager to work with a variety of projects and to continue to develop their expertise. This position is will be onboarded to work on a specific long-term Zirous client, whose headquarters is based out of Madison, Wisconsin.
Location: This position will work in a hybrid model with both work from home (remote) days, as well as on-site days at the West Des Moines, IA office each week. Zirous offers a flexible schedule so that you can work to meet Zirous needs and your personal needs. Candidates outside of the Des Moines, IA metro may be considered for a primary remote position based on previous experience.
What you'd be doing:
- Position will support all infrastructure and cloud services for clients.
- Work on a variety of client projects as a full-time employee of Zirous - length of projects and types of client industries will vary.
- Research and development of applications to support client projects.
- Be responsible for the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Oracle WebLogic, Service Oriented Architecture, Service Bus and Enterprise Cloud Control
- Develop, maintain, support and tune middleware systems, linux operating systems, and server infrastructure.
- Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
- Work closely with Project Managers & Technical Leads to ensure successful project implementation.
- Provide expert and specialized hands-on technical support, consultation and coaching to clients.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Cyber Security, or in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years working with linux
- 5+ years working with Oracle WebLogic
- Previous Systems Administrator work experience.
- Solid troubleshooting skills and be able to debug and analyze issues to resolution.
- The ability to interact with clients in order to maintain good standing which includes, but is not limited to; assisting in gathering requirements, answering questions, and participating in implementations.
- Excellent communication skills, organization skills, documentation skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and the ability to work effectively with staff.
Experience in the following is preferred:
- Network infrastructure (TCP stack, switching, load balancing, firewall and DNS)
- Oracle Middleware products (SOA Suite, Service Bus and Enterprise Manager Cloud Control)
- Scripting and automation experience using Linux scripting, Ansible and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Oracle, Azure and/or AWS cloud technologies may be beneficial for future projects
