- Compensation: $32 / hr
- Worksite Location: South Campus and/or City Center
Overview / Job Summary:
The Adjunct Faculty Instructor provides subject matter expertise. Additional responsibility to teach courses, adhering to lesson plans, meeting course objectives, beginning and ending courses on time as scheduled and adhering to academic faculty ethical and professional behaviors.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
- Files an appropriate course syllabus for each course taught within the course shell of the appropriate Learning Management System.
- Ensures that each program/class contains essential curricular components, has appropriate content and pedagogy, and maintains currency.
- Maintains a high level of expertise in the subjects taught and stimulates enthusiasm for those subjects.
- Teaches all classes according to an approved course syllabus, ensuring that assigned classes are held as scheduled. Holds the final exam at the time scheduled unless permission to deviate has been approved by the department Dean/Director
- Keeps students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirements.
Requirements
Education:
- Associate's degree in related field, required. Bachelors degree in related field, preferred.
Preferred Qualification:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ and Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP Certifications, preferred OR proficient at programming in scripting languages such as JavaScript, as well as compiled languages such as Java, C#, or a similar language, preferred.

- Minimum of 3-5 years’ full-time work experience in industry preferred.
