Rising seniors who are ready to take the next step in their educational journey would benefit from participation as an Engineering Intern at Geoprobe Systems®. Engineering interns work alongside machine and tool engineers to design, produce, and test components that are in need of improvement or need created for Geoprobe® machines.
What you will do
- Project or new part design: Projects related to aiding in development projects and the making of components for that project
- Work with staff engineers to review overall objectives of a project or parts
- Determine what the final design needs to accomplish
- Design layout: Use SolidWorks to layout a 3D model of the project or parts
- Utilize time in the shop to develop a 3D model out of available materials
- Fabricate or machine production: Alongside team members in engineering, machine, and fabrication departments, build and test the final product
- Additionally, make repairs to parts/machines/fixtures that need improvement
- Field Testing: Expect in ground testing using Geoprobe® rigs. New concepts or changes require field testing.
