Mize CPAs Inc. was recently named a Top 200 Workplace for 2024 by USA Today! We are a leading regional accounting and IT firm with offices in Topeka and Overland Park, Kansas. Our firm works with clients in a number of industries and has a rapidly growing restaurant and hospitality division that serves clients nationwide.
We are looking for an in-office Human Resources Director to work in our OP and Topeka office, with a minimum of 2 days per week in each office. Full-time availability is required, 40+ hours per week.
If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have experience planning and implementing human resources strategies, programs, and practices.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR leadership planning - help prepare the Firm for the future
- Talent acquisition and retention - compete for top talent with effective recruitment strategies
- Compensation and benefits - provide an attractive total rewards package for our staff
- Learning and development - lead oversight of professional and career development
- Employee relations - communicate the Firm's values and comply with all federal and state requirements
- Occasional same day travel for meetings and seminars
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or professional training/certification in the HR field
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in HR with at least 2 years in second level management
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Creative problem-solving ability
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR experience in a professional services Firm
- Senior HR certification (SHRM-SCP or SPHR)
