Principal Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of a client's data, systems, and networks.
• Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
• Installing and configuring security detection systems.
• Responding to all system and/or network security breaches.
• Performing a security audit on a client network.
• Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls and best practices.
• Participating in the change management process.
• Daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organization.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work onsite in McPherson, KS
• A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualifications (Network+, Security+, CySA+, CISA, CISM, SCCP, CISSP, GICSP).
• 5+ years of work experience with networking, server management, incident detection, incident response, and/or forensics.
• Experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), network switches, and Endpoint Security.
• Rockwell Stratix Industrial Switches.
• Experience with SIEM software (e.g., Claroty).
• Experience with Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Windows and Linux OS experience.
• Proficiency in bash, and PowerShell.
• Backup and Restore Software (VEEAM)
• Knowledge of Risk management and Risk Analysis Tools.
• Ability to work in a team environment in Life Sciences industry.
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of cybersecurity trends and current vulnerabilities.
