Sterile Processing Tech

We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Tech to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Tech at NCG Associates, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment and instruments used in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment following established protocols and guidelines
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage
• Assemble and package instruments and supplies for sterilization
• Monitor and operate sterilization equipment
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes
• Prepare and distribute sterile supplies to different departments
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper handling and storage of sterile supplies
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
• Participate in training and orientation of new staff

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CST) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Tech
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and procedures
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining sterilization equipment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Experience Required: Two years of sterile processing experience and 1 year previous travel experience; decon, assembly, scopes, sterilization, transport,

Pay Rate: $1440-$1600 weekly

Certificate required: CRCST
