We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team. As the Director of Nursing at NCG Associates, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the nursing departments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibility
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Take ownership of key projects and provide strategic guidance and direction
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive business growth
- Manage and execute complex marketing campaigns across various channels
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify new opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of marketing initiatives
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and optimize strategies accordingly
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and incorporate innovative marketing techniques
- Drive continuous improvement efforts in marketing processes and systems
- Provides positive leadership by an environment of teamwork, open communication and customer service.
- Establishes and oversees compliance with regulatory and certifying agencies standards, participates in the evaluation and selection of products, supplies, space and capital equipment.
- Responsible for human resources processes including interviewing and orientating staff, ongoing performance management and timekeeping/scheduling and required documentation.
- Assists with financial management by developing and maintaining budget, strives to keep operations within benchmarks and communicates variances.
- Ensures the compliance of policies and work instructions with regulatory standards and to improve the overall operation of the facility.
- Collects and assesses initial and on-going data about the health status of the patient.
- Initiates and/or revises an individualized plan of care that includes immediate and long-term outcomes for the patient/family and reflects the plan of the entire health care team.
- Carries out interventions safely and in compliance with policy to facilitate achievement of expected outcomes.
- Evaluates patient response to intervention/therapy based upon expected outcomes.
- Assists in developing policies, procedures and protocols to maintain standards of care and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as a liaison between patients and providers and other members of the support team.
- Responsible for schedule and timekeeping of ER Providers.
- Submits recommendations for selection of new equipment and ensures proper maintenance of equipment.
- Documents and communicates all required components of patient care.
- Maintains familiarity with all relevant emergency management policies and procedures; participates in drills and post-event debriefings and provides constructive input to improve the processes.
- Responsible for coordinating system performance improvement activities which monitors clinical outcomes and system issues related to quality of care delivery, audits and case reviews, and identifying trends.
- Coordinates developing and planning for regulatory reviews.
- Coordinates the trauma registry including data collection, data entry, and validation of data and determines which elements should be tracked concurrently or retrospectively and conducts chart reviews.
- Coordinates and participates in the Trauma committee meetings on a regular basis.
Requirements
- BSN, 3 to 5 years of acute / hospital management experience. (Not looking for LTC, SNF or nursing home experience)
- Current Kansas Registered Nurse License
- Triage experience
- Knowledge of general nursing and practice
- Ability to manage and direct associates
- BLS certification required or must complete BLS certification with in the first 30 days of employment.
- TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- ACLS certification
- ENPC or PALS required within one year of employment; additional certification may be required for certain patient care settings or populations.

Assignment Location: Great bend, Kansas
Position Title: Director of Nursing | DON
Base Hourly Pay/Salary Range: $115 - 145K (based on experience)
Shift times and shift length: M-F 8am-5pm
Weekend Requirement: None
On-call Requirement: Call schedule; team on senior leaders. Once every 6 weeks. 24/7-Mon-Sun
Holiday Requirement: None
Any Travel Required (between more than 1 Location): No
Desired Start Date: As soon as possible
Current Kansas Registered Nurse license
Preferred Qualifications: Acute Care
License Required: KS
Certificates Required: BLS and ACLS
Sign-on Bonus: No

Job Description/General Duties: Reports to CNO. Oversees 33-bed | ER, Med/Surg, L&D, OR, a Nurse Educator, and Social Service units
