Commercial Inside Sales Representatives are the first contact with aspiring solar business owners, and are brand ambassadors for clean energy. Their role is to support the prospect and sales team as the customer relationship is developed, including advancing documents and performing client research and follow up.

This position is primarily home office based, and will focus on business development and sales pipeline support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set appointments with potential to turn into sales, follow up on inquiries
  • Keep lead data organized and updated in company CRM tool
  • Initiate and support sales process for the rest of the team
  • Follow up on proposals and client decisions
  • Create, update and execute documents on behalf of the commercial sales team
  • Coordinate with engineering and other teams
  • Help develop and manage the prospect portfolio for commercial sales
  • Use company-provided screening procedures to qualify prospects
  • Pursue individual and team sales targets
  • Attend meetings, marketing events and training programs to stay informed of technology trends
  • File sales reports and provide market feedback to team leader
  • Strong potential for advancement

Requirements

  • Positive, energetic attitude, and ambitious with a strong desire to succeed
  • Ability to speak with charisma and confidence
  • Self-motivated and disciplined
  • Proven and documented track record of sales success
  • 3 years sales experience
  • Proficiency in business software - Microsoft Windows 10, Excel, Word
  • Proficiency in standard internet tools and etiquette - email, cloud services, search
  • Articulate and professional English writing and speech, bilingual a plus
  • Willing and able to initiate marketing and self-generate a portion of prospects
  • Experience with CRM, Salesforce.com preferred
  • Ability to work with technical details and specifications
  • Ability to learn basic design/proposal principles and software
  • B2B, solar, or professional sales experience preferred
