Generator Technician

Our client, a leading machinery services and repairs company, is currently seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join their team to cover the Lafayette, LA territory. As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of generators in various customer locations. Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair generators in customer locations
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with generators
• Create detailed reports on work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient job completion
• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a Generator Technician or similar role
• Strong knowledge of generator maintenance and repair techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Proficient in using various hand and power tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
