About the position Verdant Specialty Solutions is looking for a Temporary Material Handler for a 6 month assignment , this position will be responsible for many functions within materials management that support the overall handling, storing, and shipping of specialty chemicals.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations and use all proper PPE when at this facility.
- Read and sign “Job Safety Analyses” daily prior to starting work each day.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and warehouse.
- Read and understand blend instructions on “Blend Sheet”.
- Retrieve raw materials from inventory using forklift.
- Off-load drums and tanks from delivery trucks using forklift.
- Assist with conducting inventory when necessary.
- Transfer chemical from mixing tank to tote tanks and drums using transfer pumps.
- Properly label chemical products for shipping.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Forklift Certified
- Ability to plan and organize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Possess good mathematical problem solving and computer skills.
- Successful completion of the company's pre-employment process which includes a drug screen, criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
