Full Job Description
- Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, this individual performs daily financial processing, recording and reporting duties
- Reviews daily cash receipt batches and completes deposit preparation
- Processes invoices, maintains purchase journals and subsidiary ledgers, produces vendor payments for review by the Finance Manager
- Processes personal property tax billings and miscellaneous billings
- Scans invoices and other financial documents; maintains files
- Provides invoice documentation as requested and responds to inquiries pertaining to expenditures
- In conjunction with the the AR Accounting Clerk, maintains the front desk, answering and routing calls and greeting guests
- Assists the Finance Manager with clerical and other related duties, as directed
Requirements
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Comfortable with Excel, Microsoft Office, and accounting software Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Excellent organizational skills and general knowledge of office practices
- Proficient clerical skills to assist Manager in preparation of correspondence and maintaining of files
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task
- Able to complete tasks in timely manner, and meeting deadlines

- Health benefits eligibility date is the first day of the month.
- In the first year of employment, you are also eligible to accrue 3.33 hours per month of vacation leave. Personal leave is accrued annually at a rate of 12 hours per quarter. Sick leave is accrued at 8 hours per month.
- You are eligible for 15 paid holidays per year. This is subject to the Town’s regular full-time benefits accrual procedures.
