COMPANY OVERVIEW
Riverside Technology, inc. (Riverside), recognized internationally for providing innovative engineering, science, and information technology solutions to Federal and state agencies, private companies and international organizations, is seeking candidates for an upcoming proposal opportunity to provide full-time administrative and management support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR). STAR is the science arm of NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS), which acquires and manages the nation’s environmental satellites for NOAA.
THE POSITION
The successful candidate will provide on-site administrative support to NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS). The candidate will work with NOAA/NESDIS management and a team of Riverside and subcontractor personnel to ensure the efficient administrative operations of the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Desk Reception and Office Management:
- Provide desk reception presence; maintain a welcoming and professional presence for staff and visitors
- Answer phones and monitor management emails
- Retrieve and distribute incoming office mail
- Manage shipping and receiving, including tracking and associated paperwork
- Generate office supply list and maintain supply inventory
General Administrative and Clerical Support:
- Provide administrative support to NOAA/NESDIS management and staff as required
- Coordinate new hire logistics such as office seating, badging, email setup, etc.
- Advise supervisor and staff on administrative office regulations, procedures and polices both current and updates
- Maintain time and attendance, review and monitor the staff’s reports for accuracy and correct accounting
- Prepare travel authorizations and expense reports
- Provide meeting facilitation, scheduling, and logistics support
- Support action item responses as requested
- Maintain NOAA/NESDIS management calendars as required
- Provide documentation support including printing, binding, formatting, and copy editing
Requirements
- High school diploma with a minimum of two years of experience, or associate degree with one year of experience (associate with one year experience supporting government programs preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Google-based office tools; MS Access, Excel and PowerPoint skills are particularly important
- Excellent oral, written and communication skills
- US citizen and able to pass a background check
