Full Job Description
The Division Snow Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of snow and ice management operations across the East Coast region. This role includes overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of snow removal services, ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in snow operations management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Assist branches within the East Division (Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions) with all of the below duties and responsibilities as it pertains to Snow Management Operations.
Operational Management:
- Develop and implement snow removal strategies and plans for the East Division.
- Assist branch managers with coordinating all snow removal activities, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
- Manage the deployment of equipment, materials, and personnel to various sites.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations as needed to respond to snow and ice events.
- Ensure all operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Help branches recruit, train, and manage a team of snow removal subcontractors.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure high performance and team cohesion.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and development opportunities.
Customer Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction with services.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure service quality and client expectations are met.
- Prepare and present reports on operational performance and client satisfaction.
Financial Management:
- Help branches develop and manage budgets for snow operations within the region.
- Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Assist in pricing and contract negotiations for snow removal services.
Continuous Improvement:
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and innovations in snow management.
- Conduct post-event analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in snow operations management, preferably within a landscape or facilities management company.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale snow removal operations.
- A high level of proficiency in Excel
- Analytical ability and business acumen
