Full Job Description
Purpose of the Position
The position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility grounds and equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks that require direct or limited oversight.
- Perform preventative maintenance as outlined by equipment manuals.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Understand the process of fire and gas detection systems.
- Inspects building structure and equipment to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs, making notes and recommendations using a pre‐established check sheet
- Provide support to ship, receive, move, store, and install production equipment.
- Conduct safety inspections related to company's compliance requirements.
- Maintain up to date documentation of maintenance activities.
- Maintain an inventory of consumables.
- Communicate status of buildings and equipment to team members.
- Must be able to work flexible hours/weekends.
In addition to the essential functions and duties listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
- Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
- The Company retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
Physical Activities:
- Ability to lift minimum 50 pounds.
- Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, etc., as job may require.
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
Requirements
Qualifications
Experience:
- 1 to 4 years of experience in plant and/or facilities maintenance preferred.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- AA degree or equivalent technical school program preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Building and custodial maintenance, reconstruction, and repair work.
- Strong ability to work well in a group atmosphere and comply with high quality standards.
- Working knowledge of boiler systems.
- Strong ability to shift from one task to another to address changing production priorities.
- Proficient in water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
- Understanding of principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience reading electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience safely working with compressed gases.
Other:
This position will require you to work with and in proximity of corrosive chemicals, flammable chemicals, compressed gasses, and other hazards. Familiarity with safe practices associated with these hazards is a plus.
Job Type - Full Time
$21.00 per hour - $30.00 per hour
