IT Concepts is seeking a Project Manager who will support several projects at a federal agency. The position is located in Woodlawn, MD. The qualified candidate should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Provide Operations and Maintenance support for Security Infrastructure Team
- Ensure that the team reviews new firewall rules and documents firewall changes.
- Provide OIS-wide IT support and SLC activities.
- Provide data analytics to determine gaps in existing security programs and security tool implementations.
- Develop and manage communication plans for remediation activities.
- Utilize Agile project management techniques to efficiently deliver projects within budget with all requisite features and functionality on schedule.
- Develop and manage aspects of project and program engagement, from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues.
- Demonstrate the experience and ability to serve as the key coordinator among multiple project teams and/or components to ensure enterprise-wide consistency of application development efforts.
- Demonstrate experience in managing technical application development projects and systems analysis projects for medium to large scale projects, and project management experience specific to the full SDLC.
- Demonstrate the experience and ability to work without technical oversight and to lead and/or supervise a team of specialists.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage and maintain utility programs, job control language, macros, subroutines, and other control modules.
- Responsible for conducting weekly Project Meetings, leading on site Resources & Managing Subcontractors.
- Serve as the first level of acceptance of products and features designed and developed by the team.
- Ensure quality and on-time delivery by continuing to monitor and support products through all phases of the software development lifecycles.
- Assist the client in development of core positioning and messaging for products as well as launch marketing plans.
- Work with third parties to assess the potential for partnerships and licensing opportunities where needed.
- Assist in hand-off and training sessions with clients developing training materials as needed.
- Become knowledgeable on the CDM technical requirements for SSA’s CDM program. Understand your role in CDM activities.
- Maintain backlogs and priorities for product enhancements, and own product development roadmaps.
- Providing expertise in both the Linux and Windows environments (including Active Directory) to support O&M activities including 24x7 enterprise support.
- Support the Agency’s existing and future CDM platforms and OIS’ expanding security infrastructure.

Requirements
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities needed.
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience, Master's degree and 5 years of experience, or 11 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience in Agile Product Management
- Document baselines and monitor KPIs to determine success of product against stated goals.
- Planning and implementing Project management strategies, based on templates and Policies of the Agency.
- Develop and maintain high-quality product requirements based on the SOW.
- Must be US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green card holder)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
- Prior experience supporting the Social Security Administration or similar government agencies a plus
- Understanding of business processes supporting IT programs, networks, and/or cybersecurity programs
- Must be a self-starter, position is remote from the other team members.
- Must communicate clearly to team members, be comfortable with coordination, and collaboration.
- Must possess superior oral and written communications skills to convey issues, reports, and other deliverables clearly and effectively.
