Role Summary

Why you should be excited: Working on the engineering team at EcoMap is a blend of product development to serve our end users, challenging data modeling and orchestration, and complex data analysis and warehousing problems. There are projects centered around modernizing old pieces of infrastructure as well as green field projects where you can stretch your legs building interfaces and data to truly delight our customers.

As a senior Full-Stack Developer, your expertise will be pivotal in developing and optimizing scalable engineering solutions for EcoMap’s core products. You will work closely with many teams of cross-platform engineers, boasting collective expertise in software engineering, machine learning, Conversational AI, and more, to define and shape the future of the EcoMap user experience. You will also partner with product managers, data scientists, and operations teams to leverage engineering innovations to simplify business requirements into scalable solutions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of major new product initiatives
• Support teammates in enabling code quality, operational excellence, and shared learning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including product managers, operations, and data scientists, to identify opportunities for business impact, understand and prioritize requirements for machine learning systems and data pipelines, drive engineering decisions, and quantify impact.
• Participate in major projects by engaging in the full software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with the platform engineering team and the machine learning team to empower EcoMap LLM products.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Strong background developing web applications in Ruby on Rails or similar language/framework
• Active problem solver willing and able to collaborate cross functionally to get things done
• Expertise in building and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant backend systems
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and ownership of problem definitions
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP is highly desirable
• Data infrastructure/engineering experience
• Industry experience in building end-to-end Machine Learning products
