Your team’s dynamic:
Genetec is seeking a highly motivated individual to act as a dedicated, pre-sales champion to help provide exceptional client service and to help the assigned account drive sales – business development, pipeline and revenue. As part of the dedicated account team, the Channel Sales Specialist becomes a specialist in business trends, the market situation, challenges, opportunities, and product/solution positioning in line with the specified account’s focus to drive tailored plans that help us achieve mutual pipeline acceleration and revenue growth. You will work collaboratively on an ongoing basis towards the goal of long-term account retention and maximized selling opportunities.
What your day will look like:
- Develop and maintain an extensive working knowledge of Genetec's software solutions, including the ability to create small- to medium-sized system designs with their associated BOMs
- Define product and functional requirements based on customer requirements
- Assist in the development of tailored sales tools and related presentations as needed that help account sales teams successfully position, sell, deploy, and use Genetec solutions
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations
- Ability to cold call identified clients – either within the account or mutual end-user customers
- Support account in responding to RFx
- Provide ad hoc consulting on Genetec’s products for cross and upsell opportunities
- Forecast, manage, and report on ongoing sales and pipeline activity
- Issue quotes to assigned territory in North America
Track the effectiveness of programs and the associated ROI:
- Monitor trends and then apply those learnings to improve future programs
- Work closely with suppliers and various departments for special pricing opportunities
- Communicate regularly with field reps
- Research technical information on product requests
- Update customer records and forecasting in the CRM for tracking
More about you:
- 2-3 years’ experience in B2B sales preferably from a technology company
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills
- Excellent English communication skills
- Able to articulate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing
- Possesses strong troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Microsoft Dynamics CRM a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with a minimum of direction and supervision to be able to translate broad directives into useful tactics and meaningful activities
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with core stakeholders
- Organized, detailed and process-oriented
- Acumen for the understanding of complex technology systems
