Your Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm EST
Compensation: Starting at $180,000+ plus bonus!

About the Opportunity:
First Help Financial, voted and certified as a “Great Place to Work” by our workforce for three years in a row, is adding a new partner to our Analytics and Strategy department to accommodate our remarkable growth! We are looking for an exceptional candidate to develop and lead the Strategy and Analytics function as its Director. In this role, you will work closely with the CEO, CCO, and other C-level execs to play a pivotal role in developing our growth strategy and growing the company itself. FHF is an analytics-focused company that leverages robust and advanced data capabilities to outperform competitors. As its Director of Strategy and Analytics, you will further deepen this advantage by taking us to the next level.
This person will be reporting directly to the CCO, and the duties include, but not limited to
- Support CCO in development of the next generation of credit programs for FHF. This includes the market segment identification and competitor analysis, development of credit rules, integration of analytic models and scorecards, smooth implementation of AI automation and API tools, presentation of expected losses and risk adjusted yields, and proactive monitoring and tracking of programs.
- Support CCO through risk and impact analysis presented for Credit Committee meetings and credit change decisions.
- Keep loss rates within expected range by continually analyzing loss data.
- Roll out program enhancements periodically to improve FHF’s competitiveness.
- Lead and develop advanced analytics and its strategic and optimal usage for strong credit risk management and portfolio management.
- Lead and partner with operational departments (Sales, Credit, Funding, Servicing, Collections, Loss Mitigation, and more) to improve business efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee and develop a group of advanced analytics and strategy team members.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological developments and identify best-in-class applications to be introduced at FHF.
- Interface with technology function to introduce relevant technologies in FHF.
- Partner with other senior-level executives in sales, operations, finance, and technology to drive the strategic agenda of the company.
What you bring:
- At least 10 years of experience in credit analytics, consumer lending and portfolio management, and business process improvement implementations using advanced analytic models and technologies.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing teams.
- Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with experience in business analytics and data-based decision making. Senior level technical expertise. Deep technical knowledge and subject matter expert on R, SQL, Python (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc.), or SAS.
- Experience in translating a business problem into a structured analysis and interpreting analytical results to generate business insights.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
- Experience in auto finance and strong leadership skills.
