We reduce braiding time from hours to minutes, empowering stylists to triple their business, and addressing the 8 billion hours spent braiding hair each year. ABOUT THE ROLE
Halo Braid is looking for an embedded system engineering intern to help us refine our first product. This paid internship role will collaborate with the founding team, engineers and designers to build the product. You’re a strong problem solver who can design, experiment, and prototype under deadlines. This is an opportunity to learn how to build a consumer product from industry experts and make an impact on an innovative product design.

Requirements
Ideally you have experience with:
- Programming on embedded systems: Python and C++
- Arduino and Raspberry Pi
- PID control
- Integrating mechatronic and robotics components such as different types of motors especially stepper motors, electromagnets and solenoids
- Perf board soldering and PCB shield design
- Electronic circuit design and schematic drawings
- Great communication skills
Bonus if you have experience with:
- Embedded Linux for IoT devices
- OpenCV and computer vision libraries
