Event Cooks/Chefs Wanted

COMPANY: MAX Ultimate Food is a full-service high-end event catering company with a VIP client base throughout Boston and the Greater New England area. We offer innovative new foods, as well as some old classics with a modern and fresh approach. Our goal is to create a style that matches each client’s vision and expectation of their event. JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal Event Chefs will:

• Have banquet, catering and/or restaurant experience
• Is able to undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food (such as meats, chicken and seafood items)
• Prepare simple dishes, such as salads, appetizers, soups, entrees and desserts
• Able to accurately follow recipe cards
• Be a food safety and sanitation expert
• Possess a thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
• Have experience with food inventory and management
• Be creative and have diverse plating and food presentation skills

PAY: $23 to $26 per hour plus TIPS/gratuities

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Have at least three years of cooking experience in a professional setting
• Must be passionate about food, service and events
• Have part-time availability
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented and have a strong work ethic
• Previous banquet/catering, restaurant or hospitality experience required.
• Individuals with chef, cook, grill, prep cook and line cook experience are encouraged to apply.
