The Opportunity:  

This is an exciting new opportunity at XR to join our highly skilled Finance team in the role of Credit Control Manager, based in Dedham, Massachusetts.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all credit control activities for the company. We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in credit control and an exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement credit control strategies, policies, and procedures
• Monitor and assess the creditworthiness of customers to establish credit limits
• Review and approve credit applications and assess credit risk of potential customers
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding debts and minimize bad debt risk
• Negotiate and implement payment arrangements and terms with customers
• Handle and resolve customer disputes and invoice queries
• Collaborate with sales and account management teams to address credit-related issues
• Prepare and analyze credit control reports and provide regular updates to senior management
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in credit regulations and standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field

• Proven work experience as a Credit Control Manager or similar role
• Experience in leading / working with a cross functional team 
• Experience in partnering with credit agencies for establishing and monitoring credit worthiness
• Professional certification in credit management is a plus

• Strong knowledge of credit control principles, practices, and regulations
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and customers
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail 
• Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; Ability to adapt to changing priorities
