Veritas High School Improvement Team
Calling all VPCS teachers and staff!
If you’ve found yourself wondering this year, “What’s the plan for that?” or “I wish we had a solution for that...,” you’re not alone! As we’ve worked through the challenges of opening our high school and expanding our school each year—adding more students, staff, and programs—we’ve faced new obstacles along the way. We know that each of you has valuable insights and observations that can help us move forward with greater clarity and purpose. Together, we can focus on what makes Veritas unique, identifying what we do (and don’t do!) that truly makes a difference for our students.
We are seeking to create a team of 6-8 teachers and staff members from across the school, with a variety of different positions, tenures, and perspectives. With your help, we want to sharpen our lens around the areas of our school and team that need the most attention as we aim to move forward into our fourth school year all rowing in the same direction.
Responsibilities of SIT members would include:
- Participation in focus groups and interviews about Veritas
- Collection of information from students, families, and other staff members
- Utilization of current and past data to analyze school trends
- Make recommendations to school leaders for key levers to school improvement
- Participation in 1x month after school meetings February through June from 3:30-4:15, with 2x monthly meetings in December and January.
Important Dates
- Applications Due: Monday, November 25th, at 12pm.
- Team Members Selections: Notifications by Friday, December 6th

Stipend Amount:
- $500 for participation in all afternoon team meetings
Application Process:
- Please apply on the Veritas website by Friday 11/25/24. Amy and the leadership team will review applications and inform those selected by 12/9/24.
- Answer the following question:
- What are the 2-3 biggest priority areas you think the school improvement team should focus on and why?
