Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist-Evaluation & Supervision

What You’ll Do

As a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist focused on Evaluation & Supervision, you will play a critical role in assessing students' speech and language needs and providing guidance to other professionals within the team.

You will also:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students' speech, language, and communication needs;
• Supervise and mentor less experienced staff and speech language pathology assistants;
• Develop and implement individualized evaluation plans and intervention strategies based on assessment results;
• Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to ensure the integration of speech and language support in all educational settings;
• Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings and prepare necessary documentation regarding speech and language services;
• Provide training and support to staff members on best practices in speech and language development;
• Stay informed about current trends and research in the field of speech language pathology to enhance service delivery;
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in assessment and clinical practice.

Requirements

Qualifications (What you'll Need)

• A strong commitment to equity in education and a belief in the potential of all students;
• A master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited institution;
• A valid Massachusetts professional license for Speech Language Pathologists;
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field, with a focus on evaluations and clinical supervision;
• Proficiency in Spanish is preferred;
• Strong analytical and organizational skills;
• Ability to effectively communicate complex information to a diverse audience;
• Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.

About Veritas Prep

Veritas Prep Charter School (VPCS) was founded in Springfield in 2012 with the mission to prepare students in grades 5-8 to compete, achieve, and succeed in high school, college, and beyond. VPCS now serves more than 370 Springfield students and is one of Massachusetts’ top-performing middle schools.
