We are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to assist in identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities with potential and existing clients within Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies and Contract Research Organizations (CROs). This is a specialized sales development role, and the successful candidate will contribute to the team's achievement of Pharma sales targets, which are designed to reach and surpass the overall revenue and growth goals for ActiGraph. This role has career progression potential to a Digital Endpoint Consultant (Business Development Executive). The role reports to the Vice President of Pharma Sales, with a dotted line report to the Vice President of Marketing.
Lead generation activities include both cold and warm calling as well as market and account-based research as requested by the business development team. In addition, the SDR will bring an analytical oversight of lead generation by virtue of being fully immersed in SalesForce CRM.
ActiGraph is expanding rapidly, and in recent years has added to its 20 years of experience manufacturing and globally deploying market-leading, fit-for-purpose wearable actigraphy devices, and data collection services for research and clinical trials. We have established and grown our scientific services team to offer a full range of services to support our clients throughout the entire clinical trial lifecycle, including protocol consulting, data science, data analytics, and regulatory submission assistance.
We require a sales development professional to identify and qualify new business opportunities as well as pursue expansion of business with our existing clients, to meet sales quotas in support of the overall revenue and growth goals for ActiGraph. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to research the market to hunt for new sales opportunities and qualify Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to generate Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for the Digital Endpoint Consultants to manage through to closure.

The essential duties and responsibilities for this role include:
- Research the market to hunt for and qualify new sales opportunities.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries about ActiGraph’s products and services, qualify and pass on to the Digital Endpoint Consultants to manage, or disqualify.
- Support all the Digital Endpoint Consultants with targeted outreach to generate new sales opportunities.
- Manage all MQLs by communicating with the potential customers, as required, to cultivate interest and raise a sales opportunity for the Digital Endpoint Consultant or disqualify the Lead.
- Manage and track all open leads (including those owned by Digital Endpoint Consultants) until qualified or disqualified.
- Communicate with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers and other external contacts via phone, video conference, and email.
- Qualifying and importing leads into HubSpot from conferences, 3rd party lead-generation programs.
- Maintain accurate contemporaneous records and periodic database cleansing (including HubSpot and Salesforce CRM).
- Other duties required, as assigned.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree. (A degree in a relatable subject is preferred, e.g. life sciences, technology, computer science, engineering, business, marketing etc.)
- Relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- 1+ years of sales development experience.
- Experience with the following applications will be a plus: Salesforce, Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach.io Zymewire, clinicaltrials.gov, and Seamless.ai
- Industry-specific selling experience (technology, life sciences, and science services) is a plus.
- The employee can be located anywhere with the ability to occasionally travel to customer sites, conferences, and to the corporate office in Pensacola, FL.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision from a home office.
- While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands, and is required to talk and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, in addition to the ability to sit, type, and view a computer screen, up to 8 or more hours at a time.
- The ability to use a phone/headset for up to 8 or more hours at a time.
- Language requirements: Fluency in English is mandatory in all locations
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience of Sales Development in the Pharmaceutical Industry or a Regulated Industry.
- Experience or knowledge of wearable devices or similar technology solutions utilized in the areas of actigraphy and analysis is a plus.
