Role Overview

We are seeking a backend software engineer to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and maintenance of the backend infrastructure and systems that power our products. You will work closely with the frontend engineering team to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

We employ a strong, domain-driven design approach to building our product. You will learn extensively about the world of metals recycling and will support on domain-driven decisions to deliver value to our customers.

You will have the opportunity to make key decisions on greenfield projects as well as improve and optimize existing systems. As we continue to grow, you will be able to contribute to the architectural decisions and play a key role in the scalability and reliability of our product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing backend systems and APIs
• Collaborating with frontend and data engineering teams to integrate systems
• Supporting on new hardware integrations
• Implementing and iterating on core data models and algorithms
• Optimizing performance and scalability of our product
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting the backend literacy of the engineering team
• Participating in code reviews and providing feedback

Requirements

• Proficient in C#, .NET Core, and Entity Framework Core
• Strong experience with SQL and database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Experience with web frameworks (e.g. ASP.NET)
• Experience designing RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
• Strong interest to learn about and contribute to the metals recovery domain
• You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
