Who You Are:
Museum of Ice Cream is looking for a Service Team Member to join our guest-facing team. You excel in providing high-quality service, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed, informed, and cared for throughout their visit. This role focuses on guest interactions, ticketing, retail, ice cream and treat delivery, and assisting with special events and VIP guest experiences. You are passionate about hospitality and love creating memorable moments through friendly service and efficient operations, all while maintaining the highest level of guest interaction and brand standards.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Guest Welcome & Assistance: Greet and welcome guests with enthusiasm, ensuring they feel excited and ready for the museum experience.
- Ticketing & Queue Management: Assist with ticketing, managing guest queues, and providing wayfinding information to ensure a smooth flow through the museum.
- Ice Cream & Treat Delivery: Serve ice cream and other treats to guests, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness while ensuring quick and efficient service.
- Retail & Product Knowledge: Be knowledgeable about the museum’s retail products, in-museum treats, and cafe items, guiding guests through their purchasing decisions and achieving sales targets.
- Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and providing personalized assistance throughout the museum.
- Guest Relations & Issue Remediation: Proactively address guest concerns or complaints in real-time, using escalation pathways when necessary, ensuring a smooth and positive guest experience.
- Set-Up & Close Down: Set up and maintain guest-facing areas, ensuring all stations, retail spaces, and exhibits are stocked, clean, and organized throughout the day.
- Health & Safety: Follow all food handling and sanitation guidelines, ensuring that service areas meet safety standards.
- Event & VIP Setup: Assist with setting up for special events and VIP experiences, ensuring that high-profile guests receive exceptional service and personalized attention.
- Cross-Training Potential: Opportunity to be cross-trained in Show Team functions, allowing you to contribute to interactive guest experiences and performances as needed.
- Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, such as assisting with crowd control, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the museum.
Pay : $ 18.00 Per Hour
Requirements
The Necessities and Nice-to-Haves:
- 1+ year of experience in customer service, retail, or food service, ideally in a high-volume or guest-facing role.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality and guest interaction.
- Familiarity with retail sales, ticketing systems, and food handling is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Willingness to assist with event setups and work VIP experiences with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to remediate guest relation issues in real-time, or escalate concerns to the appropriate manager as needed.
