As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-A) at Veritas Prep, you will work alongside our team of dedicated professionals to support students with communication disorders and speech impairments. You will play a vital role in helping our students improve their communication skills and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Speech Language Pathologists in conducting assessments to identify students with speech and language disorders.
• Collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologists to develop individualized treatment plans for students.
• Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the students' individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Work closely with teachers to integrate speech and language goals into the academic curriculum.
• Document and track student progress in speech and language development.
• Communicate regularly with Speech Language Pathologists, teachers, and parents/guardians to provide updates on student performance and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Participate in team meetings to contribute insights and recommendations for student support.
• Stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology and contribute to program improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Valid certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A).
• Experience working with students with speech and language disorders, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing speech and language services in educational settings.
