JCC Early Learning Center in Brookline, MA, is seeking to immediately hire a temporary full-time passionate and enthusiastic Toddler Teacher to join our outstanding team. This position is temporary and will end on August 23, 2024. This position may be extended with a transfer to our JCC Greater Boston’s Newton Early Learning Center for the September 2024 school year.
This position provides you with an opportunity to work with students while focusing on providing a positive, nurturing environment that fosters learning and growth. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, dedicated educator passionate about helping students achieve their full potential. As a Toddler Teacher at JCC Early Learning Center, you will have the chance to inspire and engage students while developing educational programs that promote social, emotional, and academic growth.

This full-time, salaried position is for November through August, with a strong potential for transfer to JCC Greater Boston’s Newton Early Learning Center in September. The annual starting salary for this position is $47,940-$53,040 – this will be prorated for the period of appointment. The salary offered will ultimately be determined by the scope of the position, the candidate’s relevant experience, and internal equity. Employees can easily access the Early Learning Center via the MBTA Green line. The work schedule would be Monday –Friday, 9:30 am-6:00 pm.
Requirements
- Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and take risks
- Maintain full responsibility for the smooth running of the classroom environment
- In partnership with Early Learning Center Directors and peers, co-create a collaborative, dynamic, positive, and innovative classroom culture.
- Work in partnership with JCC leadership and other departments to support JCC Greater Boston organizational goals and model JCC values
- Partner and communicate with families to ensure the best care and education for the children
- Design and implement curriculum
- Complete observation and document assessments regarding children’s progress
- Adhere to all EEC regulations and guidelines
Qualifications
- EEC certification required
- A love of children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
- Strong organizational skills, including teamwork, relationship-building skills, the ability to multitask, the ability to manage situations effectively and diplomatically
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability and commitment to build strong relationships with families, co-workers, ELC leadership, and JCCGB colleagues
- Commitment to create and foster a dynamic environment where play and learning are a top priority
- Computer literate

JCC Greater Boston is a nonprofit organization with roots in earlier Settlement Houses and Young Men’s Hebrew Associations; JCC Greater Boston today offers a wide range of services and program activities throughout the Greater Boston region (~50,000 individuals annually in 98 communities). The organization provides a variety of programs and services to children and adults in the Greater Boston Jewish community, including: preschools, day camps, a regional model of Jewish family engagement, a fully equipped fitness and aquatic center, arts and culture classes, performances, lectures, and Jewish holiday celebrations.
