You’ll help customers innovate, solve their current struggles and guide them with the power of Sandalwood’s deeply ingrained subject matter expertise.
The Manufacturing IT Project Manager will join a growing team of IT, Engineering and Health & Safety professionals helping our customers reduce their work-related risk to quality, productivity and employee health.
Responsibilities will include oversight and proactively ensuring the successful implementation of plant floor IT projects within manufacturing environments. The Project Manager will coordinate teams of technical resources and must organize, manage, control, and direct activities for the assigned projects. This role will lead status meetings with the project team and maintain project documentation such as project timelines, dashboards, punch lists, and meeting minutes. The Project Manager will also be expected to provide status reports and present status to management as applicable.
Successful candidates will have the following attributes:
- Background in project management.
- Familiarity with the integration of plant floor systems such as MES, SCADA, Etc.
- Understanding of the plant floor environment.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies, such as: scope management, schedule development & integration, risk management, status & control planning, issue & action item management
- Experience with both agile and waterfall methodologies
- Strong sense of drive, initiative, work ethic and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Good sense of judgement, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, well-organized, detail oriented team player
- Any experience or interest around OT cyber security is beneficial
Requirements
- 2+ experience in IT project management
- Experience in manufacturing environments
- Bachelor's degree in Management, IT, Engineering or equivalent experience
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Local or the ability to self-relocate to Metro Detroit for onsite visits to customer sites when needed
