We are currently seeking a dedicated Purchaser / Inventory Specialist to join our team. This role is vital to our operations, ensuring that our technicians have the necessary materials to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management
    • Facilitate the movement of materials by managing transfers to and from various inventory locations.
    • Perform cycle counts.
    • Create new inventory numbers.
    • Collaborate with warehouse to identify back orders.
    • Pull and stage material for technicians.
    • Manage consignment inventory.
      • Ensure accuracy of consignment inventory counts in line with vendor counts.
      • Identify potential consignment items in the warehouse.
  • Oversee the handling of returns and warranty claims
  • Pricebook revision – verify the accuracy of inventory descriptions.
  • Evaluate inventory utilization to determine minimum and maximum reorder levels.
    • Identify items that should not be reordered as stock – acquire items specific to projects.
    • Determine frequently bought supplies that technicians should maintain in inventory and keep them stocked.
  • Assist technicians with van inventory by determining what supplies they might require and what items should be maintained in their vans.
  • Purchase orders – including issuing and reconciling orders.
  • Follow up with vendor to confirm receipt of POs and ensure required delivery dates can be met.
    • Coordinate delivery of materials, develop an active process for tracking lead times and delivery of materials – forecast material delivery through the end of the month.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships.

Pay: $50,000

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Purchaser or Inventory Specialist in a similar industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management software and procurement processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with suppliers and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
