Full Job Description
Our partner is looking for a Residential Loan Officer in Plymouth, MI. The company is a full-service financial institution serving those living, working, worshiping, or attending school in Michigan. Responsibilities:
- Deliver on the Member Engagement Manifesto to ensure an exceptional member experience throughout the mortgage journey.
- Reach out to potential mortgage leads within 24 hours of notification, with a firm offer of credit where required.
- Complete mortgage loan and equity applications online, over the phone, or in person, as needed.
- Pull tri-merge and/or single bureau credit reports to ensure program eligibility based on the member's credit history and/or credit scores.
- Select appropriate loan programs that meet member expectations for first lien mortgages or home equity loan products.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of solid work experience in residential mortgage lending.
- Valid Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration.
- Solid understanding of residential lending practices and programs.
- Capable of working in a sales-centric, goal-oriented environment.
- Exceptional professionalism providing for a best-in-class member experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills.
- Capable of proficiently handling difficult customer conversations.
- Strong teamwork abilities with co-workers and colleagues.
- Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
- Ability to handle stress and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and databases.
- Ability to adapt well to change and learn quickly.
- High level of personal accountability in problem-solving.
- Proficiency using Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Encompass.
- Experience with originating equity loans/lines.
- Experience in gathering deposits and mortgage lending.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and objectives.
