Youth Care Professionals

Position Summary: MD Disaster and Crisis is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Youth Care Professionals to join our team. The Youth Care Professionals will provide direct care and supervision to at-risk youth in our residential facilities.

As a Youth Care Professional, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for the youth. You will be responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans, facilitating recreational activities, and providing guidance and support to the youth in their daily routines.

Requirements

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct care and supervision to at-risk youth.
• Implementing individualized treatment plans and behavior management strategies.
• Facilitating recreational activities and group therapy sessions.
• Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the youth.
• Assisting with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, hygiene, and medication administration.
• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment goals.
• Documenting and maintaining accurate records of youth progress and incidents.
• Participating in training and professional development activities.
• Adhering to all agency policies and procedures.
• Youth Care Professional Qualifications and Skills
• Experience working with youth in a residential or similar setting.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with youth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and schedules.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual Preffered.
