Our teams of skilled technicians are dedicated to restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Position Summary:

Superior Collision is currently hiring a detail-oriented Auto Body Buffer and Prepper to become a crucial part of our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for the painting process and finishing touches after repairs, ensuring high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sanding and buffing vehicle surfaces for a flawless finish
  • Applying masking tape and paper to protect areas of the vehicle that should not be painted
  • Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed
  • Buffing and polishing completed parts to achieve a high-gloss finish
  • Ensuring proper adhesion of paints and finishing products
  • Assisting in the mixing and matching of automotive paints and primers
  • Collaborating with technicians and painters to ensure seamless workflow
  • Maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Prior experience as an auto body buffer, prepper, or in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of sanding, buffing, and painting techniques
  • Familiarity with various types of automotive paints and primers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good problem-solving skills and time management abilities
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
