New Flyer is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cell Leader to join our team. As a Cell Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of production workers in a specific manufacturing cell. You will oversee the daily operations, including meeting production targets, ensuring quality standards, and promoting a safe work environment. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to motivate and engage your team will be essential in driving success and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of production workers in a specific manufacturing cell.
- Ensure that production targets are met and quality standards are upheld.
- Coordinate and prioritize daily work assignments to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Engage and motivate the team to achieve continuous improvement goals.
- Promote and enforce safety standards and practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize production and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve cross-functional communication.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to production and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.
