POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible to work with the commissioning and line Electrical Technicians, helping with troubleshooting, diagnosing, reporting, and working with vendors to help mitigate bus electrical down time. This position is for day shift 7a-3:30p and may require overtime to support Production needs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Work daily with the commissioning Electrical Technicians and the line Electrical Technicians on problem areas
· Liaison between harness and electrical component suppliers and New Flyer Electrical and Engineering Departments
· Provide support in the investigation and resolution of line issues concerning supplier and internal quality issues. Help determine root cause of line rejects and functional issues
· Evaluate problem suppliers and help create SCANs to improve supplier accountability
· Coordinate supplier corrective action notice, issuance, and satisfactory conclusion, maintain appropriate data and quality records
· Interface and communicate with other divisions, providing support as required
· Provide weekly performance reports for management
· Perform all other functions within the Quality Department as assigned
· Must maintain the 5S requirements as they apply to your job
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
· Effectively High School diploma or general education degree
· Secondary level education experience in electrical field
· One to Three years related experience and/or training
· Equivalent combination of education and experience
· Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics and ladder diagrams
· Experience with multiplex systems and troubleshooting electrical systems
· Experience in root cause analysis, preventative, and corrective action processes
· Ability to solve practical problems
· Effectively communicate both verbally and written
· Computer skills in Excel, Word, preferably with Oracle and/or other data management systems
