New Flyer, North America's heavy-duty transit bus leader, is seeking an Engineering Lead Bus Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an Engineering Lead Bus Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the development and advancement of our cutting-edge bus products. As an Engineering Lead Bus Specialist, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of engineers to drive innovation and create industry-leading bus designs. You will be responsible for leading engineering activities, including designing, testing, and improving bus systems. Your expertise will contribute to the development of new and improved bus components and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering activities for bus systems, including development and testing.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure the successful development and implementation of bus designs.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in bus systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans.
- Review and evaluate design proposals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and quality assurance, to ensure the successful production and delivery of bus systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer/Engineering/ or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in related industry preferably in the bus industry.
- Strong knowledge of bus systems, including design principles and engineering standards.
- Experience with testing and validation procedures for bus systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Understanding of industry regulations and standards.
