Our team is growing! Animal Humane Society is looking for a strategic Event Fundraising Manager to take our event fundraising efforts to the next level! Pay: $75,000-85,000 annually based on experience

Job Purpose:  You are a creative and strategic fundraiser and leader who is responsible for driving strategy for the Walk for Animals, Animal Humane Society’s largest fundraising event. You lead all elements of Walk for Animals fundraising, engaging partners in Advancement as needed.

Schedule: Full-time; 40 hour/week role

Location/Remote Capabilities:  This is a hybrid role. Once onboarded, the person in this position will have the opportunity to work remotely for the bulk of their time. Access to reliable internet, ability to prioritize work independently, and foster relationships while working in a hybrid (remote and in-person) environment required. Must live in or have easy access to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and be available for frequent face-to-face interactions in Minneapolis/St. Paul and greater Minnesota regions.

What you will be doing:

Strategy — Develop, propose, and implement a comprehensive action plan to grow philanthropic and community support for Walk for Animals.

Leadership — Oversee a cross-departmental team of collaborators to execute Walk for Animals strategy.Own outcomes, work collaboratively, and hold yourself and your team accountable. Model the coaching approach to leadership and participate in first teams. Support a culture of improvement and employee development.

Reporting — Track and report on progress towards stated fundraising goals and other objectives.

Technology — Collaborate with internal partners to evaluate, recommend, and implement technology to support event fundraising strategies.

Support — Develop and manage event budgets. Identify, cultivate, solicit, evaluate, and steward sponsorships and partnerships in support of strategic goals.

Process — Collaborate with internal partners to create meaningful and holistic community and corporate donor engagement experiences and materials.

Communication — Foster an environment of open communication and approachability. Convey information in a clear, complete, and timely manner, consistent with brand standards and organizational messaging. Listen, pay attention, and be a responsible steward of information.

Culture — Foster an open and inclusive work environment by modeling AHS’s behaviors and values, consistent with the vision and mission of the organization.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

Experience — 4+ years of proven leadership experience in event fundraising. Peer-to-peer fundraising experience strongly preferred. Experience in marketing, sales, relationship management or related fields with an emphasis on cultivation and solicitation of organizations.

Computer Skills — Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of peer-to-peer platforms preferred.

Schedule — Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during administrative operations hours as defined by management with flexibility to work an occasional evening or weekend shift.

Adaptability — Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with high attention to detail in a variety of situations, while effectively navigating both internal and external relations.

Communication — Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, must have ability to work independently, as a member of the team, and collaboratively with external donors and internal partners.

Physical & Emotional Capabilities — Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in an animal shelter environment, including the use of euthanasia.
