Full Job Description
Calabrio is seeking a Compensation Manager to join our Sales Operations team! As the Compensation Manager, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing the sales incentive compensation programs and policies to drive sales performance and motivate our sales team.
What you'll be doing:
- Drive the annual compensation planning process through thoughtful analysis and consultation with key business partners which includes the ELT, HR, Finance and Sales leaders.
- Design and develop sales incentive compensation plans and programs that align with company goals and drive desired sales behaviors.
- Manage all incentive compensation calculations and payouts globally.
- Administer the sales compensation plans, including tracking and processing commission payments via our CMS
- Maintain all policies, procedures and controls for incentive compensation plans, SPIFFs and bonus plans.
- Work with Revenue Operations and Finance leadership to develop accrual and annual budgets on incentive compensation expenses.
- Collaborate with key business partners to establish and maintain accurate sales quotas and territory assignments
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and competitiveness of the sales compensation programs and make recommendations for improvements
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation
- Partner with Sales Operations to ensure accurate and timely data collection and reporting
- Provide guidance and support for all compensation-related inquiries
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in sales compensation management
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in incentive compensation – plan delivery, process management, and administration.
- Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and drivers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with sales compensation software and tools
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of industry benchmarks in plan creation and compensation benchmarks.
- Ability to build relationships to influence and collaborate across departments in order to achieve objectives.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in designing, developing, and communicating compensation related programs
- Proficiency in using Excel and other data analysis tools
- Experience with sales compensation management software, CaptivateIQ or similar CMS
- Strong knowledge of sales performance metrics and quota setting
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
