POSITION SUMMARY
As a Distribution Center Operations Manager at Noble, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the daily operations of our distribution center. Reporting to the Warehouse General Manager, your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the entire facility, optimizing processes, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods to meet customer demands. Your leadership, strategic thinking, and commitment to operational excellence are pivotal in delivering outstanding results and driving the success of our distribution center. This individual is also required to understand all systems that are utilized in the distribution environment, ensure safety and OSHA compliance standards.

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to a diverse team of associates and supervisors, setting performance expectations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of the distribution center, including inbound and outbound logistics, order processing, inventory control, and quality assurance.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve and streamline operational processes to maximize productivity, reduce costs, and minimize errors.
- Strategic Planning: Assist the General Manager to develop and implement strategies to enhance the distribution center's efficiency and effectiveness, meeting performance metrics and KPIs.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control measures to maintain accurate stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and reduce holding costs.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that products meet established standards and customer expectations.
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and space, to meet changing demand and operational goals.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and training, fostering a culture of safety awareness among distribution center personnel.
- Vendor and Carrier Management: Collaborate with external partners, carriers, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Reports and Analysis: Generate and analyze reports on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to senior management.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of materials, distribution processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods
- Strong leadership, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate with team members and individuals to identify, communicate, and provide process improvement solutions for the organization.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5-7+ years experience managing a team of supervisors in a fulfillment environment.
- Experience quality controlling mass projects with multiple variables, shifting priorities, and deadlines
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets with high attention to detail
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Netsuite preferred), RF Smart WMS, UPS WorldShip, Fed Ex Ship Manager and Endicia Dazzle.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Flexibility with hours - ability to work varied hours, days, night, and weekends as business dictates]
