Emergency Medicine Physician

247 Urgent Care is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dedicated team. The Emergency Medicine Physician will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

In this role, the Emergency Medicine Physician will be responsible for providing urgent medical care to patients of all ages who require immediate attention. The physician will evaluate patients, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans. They will also perform procedures such as wound suturing, splinting, and minor surgical interventions when necessary. The Emergency Medicine Physician will work closely with the nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely treatment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients presenting with urgent medical conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, X-rays, and ultrasounds
• Provide rapid assessment and stabilization of patients in emergency situations
• Collaborate with specialists and consultants for complex cases
• Perform minor procedures and interventions such as wound suturing, splinting, and abscess drainage
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care measures
• Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• Valid state medical license and DEA registration
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine
• Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record systems
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
