House Keeping Day Time Position

The Janitorial Service Representative is responsible for cleaning and maintaining Ronald McDonald House properties to meet City Wide standards and client satisfaction. This position is responsible for creating an

environment that is clean, sanitary, and visually appealing. Daily responsibilities include: interacting with

Residents, vacuuming, dusting, performing laundry, trash removal, dry/wet mopping, handling cleaning.

materials/solvents, and the proper use of cleaning equipment.

Requirements

Ensure the cleanliness of all public areas in the community, including resident rooms, lobbies, halls, stairwells, activities rooms, dining rooms, elevators.

Interact with residents and guests in a friendly and courteous manner; providing assistance and directions as requested.

Clean Residents living spaces including - kitchen, living room, bedrooms, bathroom(s), doors, and windows.

Clean public area floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc. Set up appropriate caution and safety signs to ensure safety of residents and visitors; remove signs as appropriate.

Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.

Cleans public restrooms including washing, sanitizing, and/or polishing bathroom fixtures.

Perform laundry for Resident linens- separate, wash, dry and fold linens.

Reports and responds to resident requests and responds to any emergencies.

Responds appropriately to resident emergencies by contacting appropriate internal and external parties, according to established protocol.

Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with OSHA, state/local, federal, and City Wide regulations - handle hazardous cleaning supplies according to proper procedures.

Secures the community area by ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required; ensures security of City Wide and residents' assets.

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
