Full Job Description
Assist in planning and implementing marketing strategies to meet company goals for new customer acquisition, retention, growth and profitability. Responsible for the overall project management, development and execution of marketing initiatives including conferences and trade shows, print collateral, social media, websites, direct mail and email campaigns. Strong skills in project management, communication, multitasking, building relationships, editing, proofreading and grammar are essential. This position will work closely with marketing and the design team.
ResponsibilitiesProject Management
- Assist with all phases of project development, including project planning and project team coordination, and own the overall timeline and deliverables to help drive projects to a successful completion.
- Work within our project management and proofing tool to oversee the creative team from creative direction to execution (printing, posting, mailing, etc.) to ensure all projects flow through the project management process.
- Ensure that goals are articulated, a method is in place to track success, project budgets are developed and adhered to, and audiences, messages and calls-to-action are well defined.
- Ensure creative briefs are complete and actionable with a clear understanding of project objectives.
- Build internal client relationships and work with the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager to ensure that the marketing team delivers exceptional client service and achieves high client satisfaction ratings.
- Develop project-specific strategies.
- Act as the liaison between all teams and communicate clearly on content, decisions, timing and project status to ensure project cohesion and alignment.
- Assist with scheduling and facilitating project meetings including kick-offs to campaigns and ongoing marketing meetings surrounding business initiatives.
- Ensure that all communication project requests are in keeping with annual plans. When unplanned projects are proposed, bring them to the attention of the marketing leaders and serve as support to evaluate prioritization and recommend options for schedule revisions if/as needed.
- Continually recommend work process improvements and support implementation with approval from management.
- Maintain weekly project update documents to send or present to internal client teams to keep all parties informed of the progress on marketing projects.
- Work with copywriter and designers to develop and update marketing materials for customer communications, such as brochures, newsletters, sales collateral, etc.
- Lead creative concepting with art on development of new campaigns.
- Manage the creative development and approval process including creative concepting, content review, Sales team review, Management review and proofing.
- Oversee and coordinate details of all marketing projects for printing and mailing.
- Initiate customer marketing support on a monthly basis.
- Manage ad hoc creative requests from Sales teams.
- Concept content for long form communication pieces.
- Assist in planning goals, strategies and tactics for assigned markets.
- Work with the web designer to develop and maintain content for assigned market websites including weekly and monthly content updates.
- Manage and review search engine performance on sites monthly.
- Work with market leads and marketing to create, develop and manage strategy, content and execution for all social media channels across multiple brands.
- Lead efforts to determine key metrics and KPIs for web and social media.
- Stay abreast of emerging social media tools and trends.
- Benchmark and monitor competitors and industry leaders in social media.
- Ensure appropriate and beneficial linkages between the company’s social media initiatives and its digital marketing activities.
- Own and manage social content management/tracking and measurement.
- Create reports and dashboards as needed.
- Create, build, test and execute all email initiatives across assigned markets.
- Coordinate details for exhibits and tradeshows for assigned markets (list acquisition/qualification, creative development, management of on-site resources, promo materials, video reels, sales support materials).
- Build and maintain relationships with conference organizers, staff, vendors, project leads and other key stakeholders at all levels to ensure the integration and execution of program strategies, tactics and messages.
- Ensure booth design and materials are aligned with goals and objectives.
- Coordinate all exhibit logistics (booth space, staffing, booth services, labor, furnishings, registrations, collateral, etc.) and maintain close communication with the show’s staff.
- Develop and facilitate pre- and post-show planning and training sessions to ensure that goals and expectations are clearly communicated and being followed.
- Establish, track and report on metrics for each exhibit/tradeshow, benchmarking and measuring effectiveness through surveys, ROI and other accountability metrics.
- Provide data and recommendations in the creation of yearly show strategies; utilize data to make recommendations for future trade show planning.

Requirements
Professional Requirements
- 2-4 years of marketing experience in a professional setting.
- Project management experience in marketing, advertising or a related field.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proficiency in both business and creative writing, exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be clear, concise, sincere and persuasive. We’re also seeking a good listener who shows an interest in what others have to say.
- Demonstrates initiative and creativity while managing workloads and pursues objectives beyond what is required or expected.
- Possesses superb organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Public Relations required.
