Operation Room Technician/ Operation Room

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Operation Room Technician to join our team. As an Operation Room Technician at NCG Associates, you will play a crucial role in assisting the surgical team and ensuring the smooth operation of the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room before and after surgical procedures
• Assist surgical team with patient positioning and draping
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures
• Monitor and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
• Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment
• Manage and dispose of surgical waste
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
• Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a surgical technician program or equivalent training
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Operation Room Technician
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment
• Understanding of sterile techniques and infection control protocols
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Pay Rate: $1,260 - $1,400 weekly
Class/Area: ORT/ OR
Desired Start Date: ASAP
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36-40
Shift and Time: Varied
Schedule Details: All shifts, 10s, 12s or a combination of two 8s and two 12s
Weekend Rotation: None
On-call Requirements: None
Holidays Requirements: None
Floating Requirements: within OR
Experience Required: 2 year as a ORT/CST in Ortho;
Additional; Our main service lines are orthopedics, general surgery, GYN surgery, podiatry, and robotic surgery (general & GYN). Must have DaVinci experience if working 10s or 12s. -please note if candidate has daVinici experience or not when submitting Experience Preferred: experience with Cerner.
License Required: Diploma from accredited school
Certificates Required: AHA BLS
