General Summary and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Regional Controller works as part of the manufacturing finance team to guide plant management, ensuring accounting and financial reporting integrity. This position leads manufacturing accounting activities, general ledger accounts reconciliation and period-ending closings on a monthly, quarter-end and annual basis according to GAAP.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities to Include:
- Facilitate the preparation of periodic financial reports such as payroll, inventory adjustment, manufacturing spending and plant profitability
- Partners with Business Managers, Operations and plant management to resolve financial related issues, assist and guide them on the method of cost allocation and assessments, and supports the weekly OPS dashboard, monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process
- Closing duties, including cost center and account analysis, production reviews and corrective actions, adjusts entries and posts recurring entries.
- Guides the plant on management of the plant capital spending and on accounting for fixed assets.
- Review plants’ profitability to correctly reflect business performance and provide the basis for financial analysis
- Collaborate with plant management and data master to ensure that product master data and costs are properly updated and accurate as well as plant books are closed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manages plant level cost accrual and metric tracking
- Performs plant-specific analysis to identify trends and control issues that need addressing. Resolves issues through to resolution and communicates fiscal changes/adjustments as needed.
- Sets up and maintains plants and warehouses cost center distribution and assessment in SAP to allocate costs when needed
- Other projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in finance with 5-7 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent
- Good organizational and writing skills
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to communicate with customers both internal and external
- Ability to complete multiple tasks quickly and efficiently
- Motivated, self-starter
Desired Skills/Experience:
- ERP experience, preferably with NAVISION and/or SAP, Computer skills, in the areas of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Passion for manufacturing activity and knowledge
- Learning agility / comfortable in a fast-paced and highly flexible environment
This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing Finance.
